Attempting to connect your Automatic Transfer Switch to your generator’s control panel? In this article, we show you where to connect each wire on the terminal block, depending on your generator model series.

Depending on your generator model, the terminals where the battery charger connects to the control panel may vary. Below we will show a few different types of terminal blocks commonly found in Triton Generators.

This connection is usually found on Perkins UL2200 Generators and certain Perkins and Doosan Export Generator Sets. The position of the terminal block may vary based on the generator size. The automatic transfer switch will connect to the control panel on terminal block

1. This connection is usually found on Perkins UL2200 Generators and certain Perkins and Doosan Export Generator Sets. The position of the terminal block may vary based on the generator size. The automatic transfer switch will connect to the control panel on terminal block “X2” using terminal #3 and terminal #4.

This connection is usually found on Tier 4 Final Generators and certain Perkins and Cummins Generator Sets. The position of the terminal block may vary based on the generator size. The automatic transfer switch will connect to the control panel using terminals 1 and 2, labeled as wires

2. This connection is usually found on Tier 4 Final Generators and certain Perkins and Cummins Generator Sets. The position of the terminal block may vary based on the generator size. The automatic transfer switch will connect to the control panel using terminals 1 and 2, labeled as wires “00” and “10”.

This connection can be found on UL2200 Generators powered by Volvo, John Deere, or Mitsubishi engines. It can also be found in Natural Gas Generators and certain Cummins Export-Only Generator Sets. The position of the terminal block may vary based on the generator size. The automatic transfer switch will connect to the control panel using terminals

3. This connection can be found on UL2200 Generators powered by Volvo, John Deere, or Mitsubishi engines.
